Saving the Malayan Tiger

Between Years of the Tiger, 1998 and 2010, authorities estimate that the wild tiger population fell by more than 100 specimens.

The Tiger! Tiger! Gallery & Exhibit allows guests to come within inches of a Malayan Tiger albeit separated by glass in a unique tiger encounter on Langkawi

Background
The Tiger! Tiger! Gallery & Exhibit was opened to the public in conjunction with the Year of the Golden Tiger in 2010 as a private initiative aimed at increasing the awareness of the Malayan Tiger and highlighting the plight of the 500 remaining tigers in the wild. It is open to the public on a FREE admission basis.
Activities
Due to soon-to-be-implemented regulations, the interaction between wildlife and public will be prohibited at all parks exhibiting wildlife. As such, the Tiger! Tiger! Gallery & Exhibit features only a "live" tiger exhibit.
